व्हिडिओ गेम जगतातील सर्वोत्कृष्ट गेम्स ओळखण्यासाठी The Game Awards हे आता एक मानक बनलं आहेत. लॉस एंजेलिस, कॅलिफोर्निया मधील पीकॉक थिएटरमध्ये काल हा गेमिंग अवॉर्ड शो पार पडला. गेमर्स, गेम डेव्हलपर्स आणि गेम निर्माण करणाऱ्या कंपन्या यामध्ये सहभागी होतात. २०२३ मधील सर्वोत्तम गेम म्हणजेच गेम ऑफ द इयर होण्याचा मान Baldur’s Gate 3 या गेमला मिळाला आहे!

द गेम अवॉर्ड्स हा कार्यक्रम जेफ किली यांच्याकडून आयोजित केला जातो. यंदा या कार्यक्रमाचं पाचवं वर्ष होतं. आता गेमिंग क्षेत्रात हा कार्यक्रम महत्वाचा ठरत असून या कार्यक्रमादरम्यान बरेच गेम डेव्हलपर्स त्यांच्या येणाऱ्या गेम्सबद्दल माहिती इथे जाहीर करू लागले आहेत. या वर्षीच्या सर्वोत्तम गेमचा बहुमान गॉड ऑफ वॉर या प्लेस्टेशन एक्सक्लुसिव्ह गेमला मिळाला असून रॉकस्टार गेम्सच्या रेड डेड रिडम्प्शनला सर्वाधिक चार बक्षिसे मिळाली आहेत! यावर्षीचा कंटेंट क्रिएटर ऑफ द इयर पुरस्कार निंजा (टायलर ब्लेव्हिन्स) याला मिळाला आहे!      
नव्याने येणाऱ्या गेम्समध्ये प्रामुख्याने फार क्राय न्यू डॉन, डेव्हील मी क्राय, मोर्टल कॉम्बॅट यांची चर्चा असेल. फोर्टनाईटमध्येही बऱ्याच नव्या गोष्टी उपलब्ध होत असून आता विमानेसुद्धा उडवता येतील!
कालच काउंटर स्ट्राईक ग्लोबल ऑफेन्सिव्हमध्येही पब्जी/फोर्टनाईट सारखा बॅटल रोयाल मोड जोडण्यात आला असून याला डेंजर झोन असं नाव देण्यात आलं आहे आणि हे गेम आता मोफत उपलब्ध असणार आहे!
